First aired on the BBC in 1988, Red Dwarf has a lot of fans among our customers, and we've been asked to build a spaceship or robot to appear in. Among them, the request to make the Star Bug, a spaceship, was the most requested. So I made it by applying the Print-in-place Articulated design method.

It is designed so that the front and rear parts can be separated.

The legs can be rotated back and forth to express the landing status and flight status.

It is designed to move without assembling the foot part.

Please check the video for detailed structure and the process of folding and connecting to completion.

Printed this on my Elegoo Centauri Carbon at 165% on "Silent" with Mint Silk Green, Silver and Black Filament (all from Elegoo).

It is slightly lighter than the actual model should be as I wanted to ensure that under the lighting that I have it in more of the fine detail was visible.

Total print time was maybe around 24 - 48 hours as the first attempt on the Cockpit did not go great due to a mix of too high a print speed and not running the model fan fast enough.

Very nice model! Awesome stuff and thank you Fabs365 for making such an awesome Starbug!

Thank you! If possible, could you share a photo of your finished piece? It would be a great help to other makers who want to build this as well!
