Mechanical Philips OneBlade Case
A modern, mechanically unique, over-engineered storage case for the Philips OneBlade razor and accessories. The case features a linkage-based hinge for the lid, under which there are compartments for the razor and two spare razor blades.
Not only that, but when a pair of tabs located near the bottom of the case are pressed, they open the spring-release drawer housing the grooming attachments. After pushing the drawer back in, it will re-lock, keeping your accessories safe and organized until your next use.
Printing & Assembly Tips The only parts that require supports are the Drawer and Spring. I recommend using organic supports for the drawer and regular supports for the spring. For the larger parts, it may help to add a decent brim (5-8mm) around their outer edge, to avoid any warping when printing.
To assemble, all the parts snap-fit so glue shouldn't be necessary but it may help if the fit ends up being a little loose. It's best to assemble in the following order:
- Connect the Short and Long Linkages to their correct positions on the lid (look carefully at my example photos).
- Connect the other end of the linkages to the Mid-Section. I recommend starting with both long linkages, followed by the short linkages.
- Snap the Front Plate onto the Drawer.
- Press-fit the two Wheels into place on the drawer (they are a little tight so don't be afraid to use a little elbow grease).
- Snap the Spring into the Drawer, followed by snapping the opposite ends into position on the Lower Box.
- Snap the Mid-Section + Lid assembly into position on the Lower Box.
- Depress the snap-locks on the Drawer and slide it into place.
- Fill with your Phillips OneBlade Razor + accessories and enjoy!
