Low-poly print-in-place model of a Flexi Reindeer in Doodle style

It transform from a solid, standing model to a flexi model To lock the legs set them streight down and push up. You will hear a click The force and tolerances are set like for kids - but it will depend on the filament used

Model can be printed in one color and with few colors on multicolor printer or in parts for assembling

Not recommended for a toy for kids younger than 3 years old

Printed with PLA with: 0.1mm layer height 10% grid infill 2 walls

Connectors (on legs and body parts) will be printed 'half-in air' There is a 0.2mm gap between connectors and other parts on Z axis - this works like a self support It is not recommended to resize model up - apart of connectors looking little worse there should be no problems with the print itself but you may need too much force to transform from solid to flexi and the opposite. You are free to test it tho

Print one FlexiReindeerDoodle first before going to print MULTICOLOR or PARTS versions See if everything will work fine

Multicolor print: Add FlexiReindeerDoodle , MULTICOLOR_dark and MULTICOLOR_red to bed plate - you can also add optional color for a smile All 3 models should be in the exact same place (a 'frame' on dark and red models will help you in this - it will not be printed so ignore notification about modele errors) Select color for dark and red and then merge all 3 models to one Now you can duplicate merged models if you want to print more at once

I printed 9 models with 0.2mm layer height (to lower number of filament changes) On photos it's the one with brown smile (wich is optional)

Printing in parts PARTS_Antlers, eyes and hooves may be printed in brown PARTS_Nose in red PARTS_Body in light brown

Print one group of colors at a time

I recommed to print a PARTS_test file first and one set of antlers, eyes and a nose to test if everything will fit like it should Models were made with 0.05-0.75mm tolerance

If parts will not hold together or you will not be able to fit them in holes you can change XY compensation / Horizontal expansion (use positive values when they are too loose or negative if they are to thick - for example start with +0.02 or -0.02) You can also just glue the parts together If you want to give it to a smaller kid (3-5yo) glue the parts no matter if you think they are holding strong

ASSEMBLING: There are two left hooves and two right ones A notch should face to the front of the reindeer

Every other part should fit only one way Additionally right eye is longer than a left one - flat face (the one that was on the bed) will go inside Right antler is thicker Nose is wider on the lower front part
