Description

This is the Prusaslicer .3mf file that I use to print my string art when using my MK3S.

Several people have asked for the slicer profile so I am providing it here. This is for the MK3S, 0.4mm nozzle, PLA. Open Prusaslicer, select 'File' and 'Open Project' and select this file.

To test the profile please use my string test model which you can download here: https://social.thangs.com/m/224449

Please don't use it for other printer configurations unless you are comfortable to make adjustments.

I love your designs, especially the string models, they're so cool!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing your settings with us! What settings do you use for 0.6 and 0.8 nozzle sizes?

The slicer still starts the extrusion for some strings in the middle of the string resulting in a broken string, using Prusaslicer with MK3S+. Is there anyway to tune the settings to stop this or edit the gcode? Or are some files doomed to have broken strings? I figured printing external perimeters first would help but does not change anything.

I am sorry you are having problems. It sounds like the profile wasn't uploaded properly for some reason because as long as you import the file as a project and don't make any changes it shouldn't start strings in the middle. Can you send me a screenshot of your slicer settings and preview?

it would be nice the information in the file as a text or so file ,to adapt to other printers, please
