These Mini Boiling Cauldron Fidgets pack a lot of fun for their small size 🥘 These are inspired from my Boiling Cauldron Fidgets which I designed last year. In addition to their smaller size, I also designed two different pot styles, one with handles (to add a keychain to) and one without.

How They Work: These cauldrons 'boil' or bubble as you spin the bottom of the pot or the stirring stick. The way this works is there are 3 magnets in the top half and 3 magnets in the bottom half. All the magnets in the top are orientated the same direction. In the bottom half, two magnets are orientated to attract to the magnets in the top half and one magnet is opposed. So as you spin, one bubble at a time will pop up as the opposing magnet underneath it pushes it up and then as you rotate it, the next magnet will attract it pulling it down, as so forth. Please note: ****You will need (6) 5mm x 3mm neodymium magnets for each fidget

3D Print Settings: PLA works great (Glow-in-the-dark PLA for the ‘boiling brew’ part makes it extra fun:) 0.2mm Layer Height 15% Infill No supports needed except on the handles of the ‘Mini Boiling Cauldron_top (with handles) part

I have also included a 3MF file with the following print profiles: Print plate #1 (boiling brew): one color; variable layer height adjusted to make boiling bubbles more smooth; pause added at layer 19 (layer height 3.80mm) to insert magnets (make sure to orientate the magnets correctly - see photos/video)

Print plate #2 (top_no handles, bottom & peg): one color; pause added at layer 19 (layer height 3.80mm) to insert magnets (make sure to orientate the magnets correctly - see photos/video)

Print Plate #3 (stirring stick): one color, positioned laying flat on side (no brim needed but make sure the print plate is clean)

Print plate #4 (top_with handles): one color, supports added for handles of pot

Note: Before assembling, make sure the three columns that “boil” move freely up and down. The tolerances or gaps on these are small and can sometimes feel slightly ‘fused’. If any of them are not moving, use the eraser end of a pencil to push them in and ‘release’ them so they move freely:)

To Assemble:

• Insert the peg into the center column of the boiling brew and twist it to make sure it rotates freely

• Insert the bottom of the peg into the cauldron_bottom part (add a drop of super glue if needed)

• Insert cauldron_top part over the boiling brew part

• Insert the ‘stirring stick’ and into the small hole in ‘boiling brew’ (add a drop of super glue if needed)
