General Grievous

General Grievous

This General Grievous figure is easy to print, requiring no supports, MMU/AMS, or glue and is a blast to assemble!

Printing Instructions:

  • STLs already in suggested printing orientation
  • No supports needed
  • I would always recommend using a brim if you're not certain about the bed adhesion of any of these parts.

Assembly Instructions:

This model is a bit different than most of my figures, but the assembly methods are all pretty similar to how I normally do things (press fits, threads, etc.)! Hope you enjoy :)

Legs: Start by inserting the dark part into the large light part, and secure it with the rectangle pin.

Next, slide the knee cover in place.

IMG_5213.jpg

Start to assemble the top of the leg by inserting the larger pin into the hole.

IMG_5214.jpg

Insert this assembly into the rest of the leg, and secure it with the half-circle pin.

IMG_5215.jpgIMG_5216.jpgRepeat these steps for the second leg.

Arms: Begin by inserting the large light part into the large dark part, and secure it with the larger dark pin.

IMG_5217.jpgIMG_5218.jpg

Next, assemble the two hand-like parts the same as you did with the leg assemblies. Inert the larger pin into the c-shaped part, then slide that into the main assembly and secure it with it's corresponding pin. Shown below.

IMG_5219.jpgIMG_5220.jpgIMG_5221.jpgIMG_5222.jpgIMG_5223.jpgIMG_5224.jpgRepeat these steps for the other 3 arms.

Torso: Begin the torso assembly by sliding the light waist part onto the dark waist part.

IMG_5225.jpg

Next, slide in the waist-pin, and secure it with the c-clip. MAKE SURE THE PIN IS IN THE PROPER ORIENTATION.

IMG_5226.jpgIMG_5227.jpg

Afterward, slide on the two waist caps. Again, make sure they're in the proper orientation. They should be facing straight up and down.

IMG_5228.jpg

Next, slide the dovetail pin with two holes in it into the waist assembly, and then slide the middle torso dark part on top of it. Then, secure it with the two dark rectangular pins.

IMG_5229.jpgIMG_5230.jpgIMG_5231.jpg

Set that lower torso assembly aside and grap the upper torso light part shown below. Insert both dark shoulder pieces onto the posts as shown. MAKE SURE YOU PUT THEM ON THE CORRECT SIDES - THEY SHOULD SEAT FULLY. Then slide this down onto the other upper torso light part as shown.

IMG_5232.jpgIMG_5233.jpg

Next, slide the two torso assemblies together, and secure them with the four long light pins. They are all the same.

IMG_5234.jpgIMG_5235.jpg

Set that aside and begin the neck assembly by sliding the dark neck post inton the light part shown below. Repeat with the other side light part.

IMG_5236.jpg

Slide this down onto the assembly, and secure it with the two light dovetail pins.

IMG_5237.jpgIMG_5238.jpg

Finish off the torso assembly by sliding on the large end light caps.

IMG_5240.jpg

It should look like the image shown below. Nice work!

IMG_5241.jpg

Head: Begin the head assembly by inserting the dark neck dovetail pin into the oval shaped dark part. Ensure that it looks like the second picture below.

IMG_5242.jpgIMG_5243.jpg

Slide this assembly into the back of the light part.

IMG_5244.jpg

Insert the small black part into the back of the light part. Make sure it's in the correct orientation.

IMG_5245.jpg

Finish the head off by inserting the eyes into the dark eye socket part!

IMG_5246.jpg

Lightsabers: Simply screw the two blades into the handle! Repeat this for all 4 lightsabers. Some people have mentioned breaking the blade while doing this if the threads are tight - just be careful and go slow if you're concerned. You can also screw it in slightly then back it out, then screw it in and back it out, and repeat that until it's worked in all the way.
