Captain Rex *NEW PREMIUM RELEASE*

Captain Rex *NEW PREMIUM RELEASE*

This Captain Rex figure is easy to print, requiring no supports, MMU/AMS, or glue and is a blast to assemble! It functions the same as my other BIG BRICK models, which are all derived from my base model: Generic Figure.

Printing Instructions:

  • STLs already in suggested printing orientation
  • No supports needed
  • I would always recommend using a brim if you're not certain about the bed adhesion of any of these parts. In particular, the hands and arms can cause issues if there is poor adhesion.

Filament Used In Pictures

This is a list of the filament I used while making this model. I receive no money from you clicking these links, and there may be better choices. This is just what I had available and what I thought looked good! Hope it helps :)

Assembly Instructions:

Each of my BIG BRICK models are built from the same base model and the majority of the assembly is the same for each of them. You can find detailed assembly instructions for my models on that base model's designer post here: Generic Figure. You can find all other instructions relating to this model specifically below. Enjoy!

Helmet: I had a ton of fun with this helmet! Hope you enjoy it :) Start by inserting the black and blue pieces into the front of the helmet.

Set that aside then assemble the vents into the sides of the large white helmet part.

Next, insert the small bolts into the sides of the cheeks.

Then, insert the ear part into the right side.

Next, slide the front of the helmet down onto this larger part, and insert the black visor.

Insert the two blue pieces on either side of the visor.

Now, grab the top of the helmet and insert the black and blue half circle pieces.

This assembly can now slide down onto the top of the main assembly you've been working on.

Next, grab the rangefinder parts and put them together, then insert them into the left side of the helmet (this rangefinder can rotate after being inserted).

Finally, insert the blue parts into the top of the helmet.

Torso: The torso assembly is pretty straightforward - the four different inserts simply press into the torso as seen in the picture!

Legs: The legs are also pretty simple, insert the two black parts and one blue part into each corresponding white leg.

Kama and Pauldron: These parts can either be used at templates or printed in two colors (NO MMU REQUIRED) and folded as shown in the pictures. If printing in two colors, perform a filament swap at 1.4mm for the pauldron and 0.8mm for the kama. Then, just fold the parts along the lines where the filament is thinner.

Weapons: There are two dovetail pins included with the blasters. I recommend sliding the longer one into one half of the blaster, then slide the other half of the blaster onto this pin until both halves are aligned. Finish by inserting the shorter pin into the handle of the blaster.

coughashokacough. Thanks for your work, and your time. As a big kid (54) and having sat in the theater for the original Star Wars, AND I have an entire room full of Lego Star Wars, I really appreciate these prints.

Oh yeah she’s coming at some point! And thanks for the kind words! If you haven’t joined my discord server, I think you would enjoy it as there are many people in there with probably similar rooms ;)
